Effects of Marine Residue-Derived Fertilizers on Strawberry Growth, Nutrient Content, Fruit Yield and Quality

An outdoor experiment was performed for six months to evaluate the effects of organic fertilizers obtained from marine residual materials on strawberry plants. Three types were used, i.e., cod (Gadus morhua) bone powder, common ling (Molva molva) and pellets by mixing small powder rockweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) residues. A tabletop system cultivation designed, in which two bare-root plants cultivar ‘Albion’ planted a peat substrate each pot. Five treatments applied, (F1), (F2), residue (FA), chemical fertilizer (E), control (C). The number leaves their nutrient content, fruit yield quality characteristics strawberries grown using similar or better than those corresponding E C. Organic derived residues fish macroalgae could be promising alternative production.
